This policy explains what information NJ Plumbing Prep LLC (“we,” “us”) collects when you use njplumbingprep.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep it short because we don’t collect much.
What we collect
When you book a course: your name, email address, phone number, and billing address, so we can process your order, send your confirmation and class links, and set up your practice exam account.
Payment details: your card information is handled entirely by our payment processor (WooPayments, operated by Automattic, built on Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
When you email or call us: whatever you choose to tell us, so we can reply.
When you visit the site: standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view, collected automatically by our hosting provider and any analytics tools we use. This is used to keep the site running and secure and to understand how it’s used.
How we use it
To deliver what you bought: processing your order, emailing your class links and reminders, creating your practice exam login, and answering your questions. To run the business: keeping records, handling refunds, and meeting tax and legal obligations. We may email you about future sessions or updates to the course. You can opt out of those emails at any time by replying or clicking unsubscribe, and we’ll still send you anything you need for a course you’ve booked.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to deliver the course and run the site: our payment processor, our web host (Rocket.net), our email provider (Google Workspace), the practice exam platform (ClassMarker), and the video platform used for live classes (Zoom). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, typically seven years. Practice exam accounts are kept for the access period and a reasonable time after. Email correspondence is kept as long as it’s useful for supporting you.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, such as remembering what’s in your cart and keeping you logged in during checkout. If we use analytics cookies, they’re used only to understand site traffic. You can block cookies in your browser, though checkout may not work without the necessary ones.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to what we’re required to keep for legal and accounting reasons. Email rhysdavis@njplumbingprep.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We use a hosting provider and payment processor with industry-standard security, and we limit access to your information to what’s needed to run the course. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.
Children
Our courses are for licensed tradespeople preparing for a professional exam. The site is not directed at anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
